Sub-division Development
Below are pictures of a Detention Pond. Required as part of the Resource Consent process, storm water, run off areas are common becoming more common in recent sub-division developments.
These areas are softened by the use of native plants and create a more natural and attractive green area within sub-division areas.
A mix of species suitable to wetlands are selected for these areas. Often these types of plants can handle partial or sub-partial submergence in water and create a natural wetland habit.
